Hello, I’m Hanna Arefaine, founder of HKY Bookkeeping & Accounting Services, LLC. With over 19 years of experience in accounting and finance—spanning both municipal and corporate sectors—I’ve built my career helping organizations stay compliant, efficient, and financially strong.
As a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor, I specialize in simplifying accounting for small businesses. I understand the challenges entrepreneurs face, having worked with everyone from startups to well-established companies. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind by ensuring your books are accurate, your reports are meaningful, and your taxes are always in order.
I graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota in 2006 and began my career with a consulting firm, gaining exposure to a wide range of client needs and industries. Since then, I’ve expanded my expertise across retail, financial services, corporate, and government sectors.
I’ve held key roles with organizations such as InComm, a prepaid card processing company, and Crawford & Company, a publicly traded firm, where I strengthened my foundation in financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. In the public sector, I’ve served with the City of Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, and the City of Brookhaven, managing complex municipal finances, audits, and capital projects in line with GAAP and GASB standards.
With nearly two decades of experience, my background reflects deep expertise in financial analysis, accounting operations, reconciliations, payroll, compliance, and strategic reporting. I pride myself on delivering accurate, timely, and transparent financial information that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term decision-making.
Outside of bookkeeping, I’m a proud parent and an active member of my community. I understand how valuable time is—which is why my mission is to give that time back to you by taking the accounting off your plate so you can focus on what matters most.
